November 2006 Meeting Minutes 

Minutes from the meeting held on November 28 

The meeting began with a Scripture reading and the pentennial prayer.

Minutes of October 24 meeting were accepted.

Listening Session Update concerning the Brainstorming Session on Nov. 7
Facilitators Report:
-- Liturgy - Carol DeSouza
-- Youth - Norma Murphy
-- Community- Mary Beth O'Sullivan
-- Because of the small size meeting turnout, this discussion will be refined and presented to the full meeting in January.
-- A PPC table at the Christmas Craft Fair was suggested by Julia Greene.  It was decided to have an information table at Hospitality Sunday instead.  We want to encourage Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers to greet people at the back of the Church before Mass. 

Adult Education:
a) Films and dates will be determined
b) The book discussion group will meet for a discussion on the book “All Souls” by Michael MacDonald in the lower church.   It will take place on January 28 at 7:00pm in the lower church.
c) Parish or city wide presentation of Catholic social teaching by Fr. Thomas Massaro was held on November 5 at 7:30.  It was well attended.  We will look into the Archdiocese’s speakers bureau for future occasions..

Items
a) Quincy Catholic Men’s Evening of Prayer will be held on Thursday, November 30.   Father Bill Kelly will lead the group.
b) Quincy Catholic Women’s Prayer Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month

The meeting closed with a prayer.

Those in attendance were Joan Matthews, Julie Greene, Norma Murphy, Margaret Kinsella, Deacon John Salenius, Father O’Brien, and Mary Beth O’Sullivan.

Next meeting is on January 23 at 7:30 pm.
