January 2008 Meeting Minutes
Minutes from the meeting held on January 22, 2008
The meeting began with an opening prayer lead by Tricia Graeber.
Minutes of the December 11 meeting were tabled until next meeting.
Update on the process for Youth Ministry
- The first event will be a Pizza and a Movie night. It will be held on February 19, 6-9 PM in the lower church. Admission will be 1 can of soup for Food Pantry at Interfaith Social Services.
- The event committee will meet on February 5 to finalize plans.
- Suggestions were made for service activities. They included visiting the nursing home at Marina Bay, a coat drive, and visiting a veteran’s home. We will be asking input from the youth regarding activities that appeal to them.
Update on Grand Annual
- Total contributed so far $92,099. There was a $12,009 response from the second letter.
Increased Offertory
- Letters will be mailed in early February. Father will speak at all the Masses.
2010 Initiative
- Dr. Mary Grassa O’Neil is the new head of the archdiocesan schools.
Pastoral Plan for the Archdiocese of Boston
- The parish council members were each given a copy of the Pastoral Plan. It was felt that a joint Pastoral Council meeting of many parishes would be a great idea and allow us to focus on many common issues. Also it was felt that people should be encouraged to join Pastoral Councils.
The meeting closed with a prayer led by Tricia Graeber.

The next Parish Council meeting will be held on February 26, 2008
