Asian Ministry

With the support of Fr. O'Brien, the Asian-American Catholic Group was established in December 1999. Fr. John Chen and Deacon John Salenius serve as the religious leadership of the group. The objective of this group is to support and help Asian-American Catholics to further their faith formation by providing a variety of religious programs in different languages. Any Asian-American Catholic is welcome to join and attend our activities. We are looking for Asian-American Catholics of any age to join us and to develop more programs for Asian-American Catholics and non-Catholics in our community

For Newcomers
If you are new to Quincy from another town, state or country and need help to cope with the new environment in this community or to learn more about Catholic life, please call one of the contact persons below and use the language of your choice. We are happy to give you as much assistance as possible..

Monthly Mass or Prayer
Either mass and/or specific prayer services are held once each month at different parishioners' houses or at Sacred Heart Church.
Rosary Prayer
We gather every weekend in May and October at either a parishioner's house or at Sacred Heart Church to pray the rosary in multiple languages. Following prayer, we usually build our relationship by sharing our food and time together.

Religious Education for Asian-American Non-Catholics
For those who want to know more about the Catholic life and to become a Catholic, please call one of the contact persons below. Feel free to select the language of your choice (English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Fujinese, Vietnamese and Tagalog)
Bible Study
We share Biblical knowledge every Saturday at 10am on the 2nd floor in Sacred Heart School during the school year. During school vacations, please contact us for time and locations. (Cantonese and Mandarin only)

Music Group
We have guitar, keyboard and violin players to provide music for the religious activities for the group. For those who like to sing or play musical instruments (any levels) are encouraged to join us and praise God with music.		 Future Activities
