My Brother's Keeper Giving Program

Sacred Heart Parish and My Brother's Keeper successfully joined hands last Christmas to respond to needy families in 43 communities. As a result of this combined effort along with that of other parishes, My Brother's Keeper was able to respond to a great number of these families last Christmas.

Our parish once again participates in the gift giving program. Each ornament on the giving tree in the church represents an individual gift or gifts and every ornament is color coded for easy identification of the sex/age group and are available for pickup beginning the weekend of Nov. 26/27:

Pink ornaments - girls 12 years old or younger
Blue ornaments - boys 12 years old or younger
Green ornaments - teenagers
Red ornaments - adults
Orange ornaments - turkey donations

All gifts must be turned in no later than after the 10:30 am mass on December 18th, earlier if possible. When turning in gifts, please be sure to attach the original ornament to the gift for easy identification.

Your help is needed on Dec. 18th to help out in the school cafeteria. Here, gifts will be sorted and assembled for family distribution. If you wish to volunteer, please come to the school cafeteria immediately following the 10:30 am mass on the 18th. You also may contact the parish office in advance at 617 328-8666.

As always, we are looking for people willing to sponsor an entire family. If you are interested in this option, please call the parish office. If you select a turkey ornament, simply follow the instructions on the back of the ornament.

For those unable to contribute, your prayers for the success of the "Helping Hands" mission is greatly appreciated.
