2001 Parish Renewal through Stewardship Programs

Vision Statement:

The mission of Parish Stewardship is to enrich the Sacred Heart Community by encouraging parishioners to accept Christ's invitation to follow Him in discipleship by being responsible stewards of the gifts which God has so lovingly bestowed on each individual.

Goals:

  1. Empowering parishioners to accept the challenge of living as Christian Stewards and help them recognize that all they have comes from God and that these blessings of Time, Talent and Treasure must be shared with the Church and Community.
  2. Encourage parishioners to develop their full spiritual potential.
  3. Encourage a more active participation by all parishioners in both parish and community activities.
  4. Empower people to assume responsible roles in the parish.
  5. Reach out to inactive Catholics and invite them back to the parish and the Church.
  6. Build a caring concerned community.

Stewardship Prayer

Lord God, you alone are the
source of every good gift, of the
vast array of our universe and
the mystery of each human life.
We praise you and we thank you
for your great power and your
tender, faithful love.

Everything we are and everything
we have is your gift, and having
created us you have given us into
the keeping of your Son,
Jesus Christ.

Fill our minds with His truth
and our hearts with His love that
in His Spirit, we may be bonded
together into a community of
faith, a parish family,
a caring people.

In the Name of Jesus, we commit
ourselves to be good stewards of
the gifts entrusted to us, to share
our time, talent and our material
gifts as an outward sign of the
treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen.
